About the Role

Xanthe Enterprises Limited is seeking a skilled Retail Sales Associate to join our team at our gas bar location. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Cash Register: Accurately process transactions, handle cash, cheques, and credit/debit card payments, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Stock Shelves and Clean Counter Area: Ensure that our store is well-stocked and visually appealing, and maintain a clean and safe environment for our customers.
  • Provide Customer Service: Greet customers, respond to their inquiries, and resolve any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Verify Age for Restricted Products: Verify the age of customers when selling lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco products.
  • Work with Technology: Operate an electronic cash register, Interac machine, and price scanner to efficiently process transactions and maintain accurate records.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not necessary.
  • Work Conditions: Fast-paced environment, attention to detail, and ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Language: English is the primary language spoken in this role.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
