Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Product Development team at the Harry James Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for our Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and configure control panels for BESS, including component selection and system architecture.
  • Develop electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and field wiring diagrams using Auto-CAD Electrical or EPLAN.
  • Evaluate product and system designs for compliance with industry standards such as UL9540, NEC, and IEC62933.
  • Perform load flow and short circuit analysis for DC and AC circuits.
  • Design and engineer cable schedules for AC and DC circuits.
  • Develop control solutions, including I/O table, PLC selection, and PLC logic development.
  • Create testing specifications, plans, and interconnection requirements.
  • Develop product documentation, including product manuals and technical descriptions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required; graduate degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of electrical engineering experience, with a focus on designing and testing power systems and control panels.
  • Ability to design electrical circuits for up to 1000 Volt AC and 1500 Volt DC.
  • Experience designing and configuring BESS.
  • Knowledge of embedded software development and industrial control philosophies.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar schematic generation software.
