About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analyst to join our Middle Office in Capital Markets and Treasury Risk Management team at National Bank. As a specialist in Market Risk, you will be responsible for analyzing and managing risk for our Commodities trading desk.

Key Responsibilities
  • Run daily production and analysis of Risk, Compliance and P&L reports
  • Support ongoing investigations and validations of risk measures
  • Evaluate and follow up on compliance limits and risk
  • Evaluate risk for equity, derivatives, fixed income, commodities and FX
  • Develop IT processes and participate in process migration to AWS
  • Collaborate with various sectors of the Bank: Risk Oversight, Operations, IT, Model Development, Governance, Credit, Accounting, Audit
About the Team

You will be part of a team of 40 colleagues, reporting to the Senior Manager - Middle Office. Our team is known for its collaboration, expertise, and talent development.

Requirements
  • Successfully completed bachelor's or master's in finances or any quantitative field
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience with highly technical requirements would be a strong asset
  • Excellent knowledge of Financial Markets, Commodity derivatives, and evaluation methods is considered an asset
  • Successful completion or in the process of receiving the CFA, FRM, PRM designation, is considered an asset
  • Demonstrated leadership and teamwork capabilities
  • Programming skills - Python, VBA, SQL would be beneficial
