Halifax Water is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager of Wastewater Treatment to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our wastewater treatment systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement strategies to improve wastewater treatment processes and reduce environmental impacts.
- Supervise and direct a team of wastewater treatment operators and maintenance personnel.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Develop and manage budgets and capital projects related to wastewater treatment.
- Provide technical guidance and support to staff and contractors.
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of wastewater treatment facilities.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. environmental science, engineering) and 5 years of experience in wastewater treatment operations.
- Proven track record of leadership and management experience.
- Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
