We are seeking a skilled Welder Specialist to join our team at Hitachi Energy Canada Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of welding tasks, including reading assembly drawings, welding components, and checking for leaks.
Key Responsibilities- Read and interpret assembly drawings and weld components according to specifications.
- Perform welding tasks using oxy-acetylene equipment and electric arc welding techniques.
- Check and repair weld leaks according to established methods.
- Handle and assemble components using electric winch, forklift, and overhead crane.
- Mark, assemble, and tack components according to drawings or production documents.
- Solder, grind, and mark copper foils inside tanks or other components.
- Minimize distortion caused by soldering.
- Solder and desolder current transformer components.
- Complete check sheets and required documents.
- Diploma of vocational studies in welding or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in welding or a related field.
- Knowledge and ability to use oxy-acetylene equipment and electric arc welding techniques.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Manual dexterity and ability to work in a team environment.
- Good communication and health and safety skills.
- Autonomous and responsible individual.
