Job Title: Personal Support Worker – Nursing Care Specialist

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Personal Support Worker – Nursing Care Specialist to join our team at RELIANURSE STAFFING INC. As a key member of our care team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to our clients, working closely with our healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Supply and empty bed pans and maintain a clean and safe environment for our clients.
  • Take patients' blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and record the results accurately.
  • Serve meal trays and feed patients, promoting a positive dining experience.
  • Weigh, lift, turn, and position patients safely and with care.
  • Deliver messages, reports, requisitions, and specimens between departments, ensuring timely communication.
  • Make beds and maintain patients' rooms, maintaining a clean and comfortable living space.
  • Supervise patients' exercise routines, promoting physical activity and mobility.
  • Administer suppositories, colonic irrigations, and enemas as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies, ordering and restocking as needed.
  • Bathe, dress, and groom patients, promoting personal hygiene and dignity.
  • Transport patients between care facilities, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Transport patients in wheelchair or stretcher, providing physical support and assistance.
  • Answer call signals to determine patients' needs and respond promptly.
  • Collect specimens, following proper protocols and procedures.
  • Prepare patients for surgery by washing, shaving, and sterilizing operative areas, ensuring a safe and clean environment.
  • Administer first aid in emergency situations, acting quickly and effectively.
