Exciting Opportunity for an Intermediate Mechanical Designer

Wood is seeking a highly skilled Intermediate Mechanical Designer to join our team in Saskatoon, SK. As a key member of our Mechanical Department, you will be responsible for designing and detailing mechanical systems for various projects.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced mechanical designer to take their career to the next level. You will work closely with our team of experts to deliver high-quality designs and solutions that meet our clients' needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and detail mechanical systems for various projects, including potash, lithium, uranium, and base metal projects.
  • Collaborate with our national and global mining teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Work on challenging and innovative projects that require strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with our clients and stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure our designs meet the highest standards.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology, CADCAM, Engineering Drafting and Design or equivalent technical program.
  • 5+ years of experience as a mechanical designer, preferably with experience in mining and mechanical detailing.
  • Proven experience with AutoCAD, Plant 3D, and/or AVEVA E3D software.
  • Excellent knowledge of 3D design and drafting.
  • Ability to perform calculations for detailed equipment design.
  • Self-motivated with good leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively when managing multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
