Job Overview

The Field Nurse Representative is part of the Patient Services team, responsible for introducing certain therapies and molecules in adult and pediatric settings. This involves interactions with patients, insurance companies, pharmacies, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to obtain coverage, injection, and injection training for prescribed medication.

This is a part-time position, requiring 18.75 hours/week for a 12-month contract. The successful candidate will have strong communication skills, be able to work independently, and have experience in the healthcare industry.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate program activities and interdisciplinary interactions
  • Work directly with clinics to provide support and ongoing collaboration for delivery of program services
  • Provide technical product overviews and educational materials to patients
  • Liaise with physicians' offices, service providers, and other parties to provide comprehensive and coordinated service
  • Process data entry activities and perform surveys on patients and program users
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • RN or RPN with current registration and license for practice in British Columbia or Alberta
  • Pediatric specialization and/or experience considered an asset
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, health care environment, reimbursement landscape, therapeutic and product-related knowledge
  • 1-3 years experience in a previous job or jobs
