About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Machinist to join our team at ATLAS Aéronautique inc. as a key member of our manufacturing department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables to ensure accurate production.
  • Repair and maintain machine tools and parts to ensure optimal performance.
  • Set up and adjust production machinery and tools to meet precise specifications.
  • Fabricate and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance.
  • Document and report any deviations from specifications and tolerances.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and complete inspection reports.
  • Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments.
  • Operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools to produce high-quality products.
  • Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications.
Requirements
  • Registered Apprenticeship certificate in Machinist Trade.
  • 1-2 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
  • Steel-toed safety boots and safety glasses/goggles required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Machinist Trade Certification.
  • Experience with automatic lathes, boring machines, drill presses, and other machinery.
  • Knowledge of measuring tools, including micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
Language and Work Environment

The successful candidate will be fluent in English or French and will be working in a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing environment.
