About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Machinist to join our team at ATLAS Aéronautique inc. as a key member of our manufacturing department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and Interpret Technical Drawings: Accurately read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables to ensure precise manufacturing.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Repair machine tools and parts, and maintain production machinery to ensure optimal performance.
  • Setup and Operation: Set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools to produce high-quality components.
  • Quality Control: Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments, and document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances.
  • Inspection and Reporting: Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Requirements
  • Certifications and Licenses: Machinist Trade Certification
  • Measuring Tools: Proficiency in using micrometers, calipers, calibre, gauges, and verniers.
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience: Experience with automatic lathes, boring machines, drill presses, gear cutting machines, milling machines, screw machines, surface grinders, tapping machines, and tool grinders.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to stand for extended periods, attention to detail, and ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, dependable, flexible, initiative, and a team player.
