We are seeking a skilled and experienced Arborist to join our team at Arborwood Tree Service. As an Arborist, you will be responsible for the care and maintenance of trees in our urban and rural areas.
Responsibilities- Inspect and assess tree health, identifying potential hazards and developing plans for pruning, removal, or other necessary actions.
- Perform pruning, trimming, and removal of trees, using specialized equipment and techniques to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Operate and maintain equipment, including chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their tree care needs and develop customized plans to meet those needs.
- Work safely and efficiently, adhering to company policies and industry standards.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in arboriculture or a related field.
- International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) certification.
- Arboriculturists Trade Certification.
- Valid driver's licence.
- Eligible for professional liability insurance.
- Criminal record check.
This is a physically demanding role that requires working at heights, in dangerous environments, and in outdoor conditions. You must be able to lift heavy loads, work in a fast-paced environment, and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
