Video Production Specialist

D2L is a cloud-based education company that's revolutionizing the way people learn.
As a Video Production Co-op Student, you'll be part of our Creative Team, assisting with video content creation across various platforms. This role involves supporting the video pre-production process, studio and digital production, post-production, and working with stakeholders to deliver high-quality video content.
You'll work collaboratively with other functional areas within Marketing to support campaign and media generation, maintaining a professional and organized studio environment. Your tasks will include video and audio production, primarily in-studio, as well as remote support for event production.
You'll assist in post-production and creation, such as editing, audio design, and motion graphic design. You'll also work directly with the Creative team to optimize video post-production and learn about different ways to structure corporate video. Additionally, you'll contribute to effective video strategies and the creative process with the Marketing team.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Understanding of good composition, storytelling, and basic video production processes
- Knowledge of social media (emphasis on video) in a business-to-business environment
- Ability to create positive external and internal cross-functional relationships
- Strong written and oral communication skills through multiple mediums and for a wide range of audiences
- Understanding of the importance of video in marketing
- Team player who is both flexible and adaptable
- Experience shooting, designing, and editing video content, with emphasis on short-form content for social channels
- Comfort with technical tasks, such as working with equipment, script formatting, spreadsheets
Estimated Salary Range: $790-$1,020 CAD per week
