Job Summary

Mackenzie Health is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient-centered care to diverse client populations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive health services, including identification and management of chronic stable conditions, prevention of disease and injuries, health promotion and education, and rehabilitation.
  • Assess and provide services to clients, families, and communities, utilizing advanced nursing assessment skills and sound knowledge of clinical therapeutics.
  • Develop and implement education initiatives for healthcare providers and community members, demonstrating knowledge and experience of theories guiding adult learning principles and health promotion activities.
  • Work collaboratively with clients and other healthcare providers to provide high-quality patient-centered care, embracing a philosophy of patient and family-centered care.
  • Contribute to safe, quality care by demonstrating leadership in clinical excellence, effective patient/family counseling skills, and excellent organizational, critical appraisal, and analytical skills.

Requirements

  • Hold a Certificate of Registration (EC) in good standing from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Begin employment with Mackenzie Health.
  • Commit to two years of employment at a full-time work schedule offered by the employer.
  • Not simultaneously receive funds from the Ministry of Health for the Tuition Support Program for Nurses.
