Job Title: Charter Rights and Remedies Professor
Job Summary:
The University of Ottawa is seeking a highly qualified professor to teach a course on Charter rights and remedies in the criminal law context. The successful candidate will have significant practical experience related to Canadian criminal law and expertise in Charter remedies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach a course on Charter rights and remedies in the criminal law context
- Develop and deliver course materials, including lectures, readings, and assignments
- Assess student learning and provide feedback
- Contribute to the development of the Common Law Section's curriculum and programs
Requirements:
- LL.B., J.D., or equivalent degree
- Membership in the Law Society of Ontario (or equivalent) in good standing
- Significant practical experience related to Canadian criminal law
- Expertise in Charter remedies
- Prior teaching experience an asset
Working Conditions:
The successful candidate will be required to teach this course either online, in-person, or hybrid mode at the discretion of the Faculty and in accordance with public health guidelines.
