Job Description

Job Title: Professor of Law

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly qualified Professor of Law to join our faculty at the University of Ottawa. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and researching in the area of jurisprudence, with a focus on the legal system in Quebec.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in jurisprudence, including constitutional law, contract law, and tort law.
  • Conduct research in the area of jurisprudence, with a focus on the legal system in Quebec.
  • Supervise graduate students and provide guidance on their research projects.
  • Participate in departmental and university service, including committee work and curriculum development.

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Law or a related field.
  • Experience teaching at the university level.
  • Strong research record in the area of jurisprudence.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience teaching in a bilingual environment.
  • Fluency in French and English.
