Job OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Master Trainer, Health-Care Provider Education to join our team. This role plays a vital part in delivering standardized U-First health-care provider training across the province, enhancing the skills and knowledge of person-centered care practices among workers in long-term care.
Main Responsibilities:- Develop, coordinate, and facilitate required training and ongoing opportunities for professional development to enhance the knowledge and skills of the organization's health-care education facilitators.
- Facilitate external train-the-trainer workshops to enhance health-care providers' capacity to deliver U-First training within their organization.
- Develop systems and processes for scheduling and monitoring staff participation and progress through mandatory facilitator training components and ongoing professional development opportunities.
- Support and participate in provincial and national U-First community of practice activities, and the U-First mentoring program.
- A post-secondary education or relevant degree in healthcare, social work, education, gerontology, or another related field.
- An experienced professional with a deep understanding of Alzheimer's disease and other dementias, combined with a commitment to fostering person-centred care.
- Extensive knowledge of adult education best practices, group facilitation, and coaching professionals to achieve set goals.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to work independently and as a team member.
- A competitive salary range of $73,000 to $80,000 per year.
