About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Developer to join our core team of API Gateway Platform Engineers at S&P Global Market Intelligence.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing software engineering functions to the MI CIQ Solutions Dashboard suite, analyzing workload requirements, and working with IT stakeholders to define proper sizing for cloud workloads on AWS.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze workload requirements and work with IT stakeholders to define proper sizing for cloud workloads on AWS
  • Develop and deploy production workloads, including applications on EC2 instances, APIs on Lambda Functions, and more
  • Troubleshoot networking protocols, including TCP/IP, Websockets, Multicast, and Broadcast messaging
  • Experience with scalable networking technologies, including Linux, software-defined networking, network virtualization, open protocols, App acceleration, Load Balancers, DNS, virtual private networks, and their application in PaaS and IaaS technologies
  • Experience with Unix/Linux operating systems internals, including filesystems, system calls, and networking
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools, including Datadog and Splunk
  • Experience with source control, including Git and GitHub, and feature branching strategies
  • Possession of a software-centric mindset, capable of understanding the full software stack
  • Willingness to embrace automation over manual effort
