Our team is dedicated to delivering exceptional results for our clients, and we are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Revit Designer/Modeler to join our Toronto office.

This role will involve assisting clients throughout all phases of the design process, from functional planning and conceptual layout to detailed design and construction support.

Responsibilities:
  • We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit 3D modeling to perform mechanical engineering work related to vertical infrastructure.
  • The successful candidate will prepare contract drawings and specifications in conjunction with the project team for delivery to the client.
  • Documentation skills are essential, as this role requires preparing memos, minutes, and reports to document study progress/results.
  • Liaising with clients to exchange information regarding project progress is also an important aspect of this position.
  • We use Revit to create and maintain building mechanical models, drawings, and schedules, and the ideal candidate will have experience with this software.
  • The successful candidate will develop designs that meet client requirements and adhere to a high standard of form, fit, function, appearance, and quality.
  • Discrepancies in drawings and information must be identified and resolved through appropriate methods and channels.
  • The individual will prepare site visit reports by interpreting findings to provide clear recommendations and direction to clients.
  • Reviews of shop drawings and design details are necessary to analyze for continuity and viability.
Qualifications:
  • A technologist diploma in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience is required for this position.
  • Strong knowledge of building service, HVAC, plumbing, and drainage, as well as fire protection, is essential.
  • Prior experience in mechanical systems, specifically related to industrial, institutional, and commercial buildings, preferably in the consulting engineering industry, is an asset.
  • Experience with quality control and production scheduling is also preferred.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills are necessary to liaise with clients and manage multiple deadlines and conflicting demands on time with a rapidly shifting workload.
