Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant to join our team at Kelly Services. As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of our organization, including accounts receivable, payable, budgeting, and reporting. You will also have signing authority to review, verify, and approve transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare timely and accurate financial reports, including monthly and annual financial statements.
  2. Develop and maintain operating and capital budgets, and work with department heads to ensure budget compliance.
  3. Communicate financial results and prepare reports for senior leadership, the Board of Directors, and other stakeholders.
  4. Identify problem areas through professional interpretation of operating results and statistics, and recommend corrective action as needed.
  5. Develop or provide professional interpretation of operating results, accounting policies, and principles, and participate in the development of financial, statistical, and internal control systems.
  6. Coordinate audit requirements and communicate with auditors to meet and complete audit requirements.
  7. Work collaboratively with departments to develop monthly forecasting reports and review variance analysis for reasonability and plausibility.
  8. Provide input to the development and updating of sound financial policies for our organization.

Requirements:

  1. University degree and a professional accounting designation (CPA), plus three years' experience in accounting and financial systems.
  2. Kaizen Basic.
  3. Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite and related software.
  4. Strong interpersonal skills.
  5. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics accounting software applications is an asset.
  6. Ability to manage time and set personal goals and priorities to achieve department results.
  7. Ability to understand customer needs and identify improvement opportunities.
  8. Ability to work efficiently and effectively as part of a cross-functional team.
