About the Role:

  • This role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting and correcting problems with control systems, scaling systems, or any electric or electronic systems on production equipment.
  • The successful candidate will conduct routine scheduled maintenance in accordance with our preventative maintenance program.
  • They will be responsible for installation and modification work - mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration.
  • Hazardous material handling skills are essential.
  • In emergency situations, the individual will take a lead role.
  • They must be observant and take initiative when a fault is detected.
  • Daily activities will need to be reported.
  • Maintaining good housekeeping practices in their work area and the maintenance shop is crucial.
  • Repairs on equipment and buildings not associated with production lines will also be required.
  • The individual must maintain and adhere to required hygiene, safety, and quality standards on the production floor.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements:

  • A Millwright Certification is required.
  • Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude is preferred.
  • A Class "B" Refrigeration license would be an asset.
  • Experience in a food manufacturing facility, particularly with knowledge of food safety and HACCP, is beneficial.
  • Prior involvement with Continuous Improvement projects is desirable.
  • The ideal candidate should be self-motivated and able to take initiative.
  • Flexibility to undertake other work outside normal duties is necessary.
  • Ability to work a 12-hour rotating continental shift schedule is required.

Compensation: The estimated annual salary for this position is around $80,000-$100,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
