Retail Store Supervisor

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Retail Store Supervisor to lead our team at BIGGAR DOLLAR MART LTD. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily store activities, managing staff, and ensuring exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assign sales workers to duties and oversee their performance
- Hire, train, and develop staff to meet business needs
- Authorize payments, manage cash, and maintain accurate records
- Order merchandise, manage inventory, and maintain a clean and organized store environment
- Establish work schedules, manage staff rotations, and ensure adequate staffing levels
- Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters
- Resolve customer complaints, supply shortages, and other issues that may arise
- Supervise and coordinate activities of office and volunteer staff
Requirements:
- 1 year to less than 2 years of retail management experience
- Permanent employment with 35 to 40 hours per week
- Fluency in English
