Procurement Specialist

Pinnacle Disaster Services is seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for purchasing general and specialized equipment, materials, or business services. Your expertise will be essential in assessing the requirements of our establishments to develop specifications for equipment, materials, and supplies to be purchased. You will negotiate offers from suppliers, consult with them, review quotations, establish delivery schedules, and monitor progress. Your excellent communication skills will be vital in resolving any issues that may arise with clients and suppliers. In addition to your procurement skills, you will also be required to have a strong understanding of MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Key Responsibilities:
  • Purchase general and specialized equipment, materials, or business services
  • Assess requirements of an establishment to develop specifications for equipment, materials, and supplies to be purchased
  • Negotiate offers from suppliers
  • Consult with suppliers
  • Review quotations
  • Establish delivery schedules
  • Monitor progress of delivery schedules
  • Contact clients and suppliers to resolve problems
Requirements:
  • College/CEGEP education
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong understanding of MS Office
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
