We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team in Oakville. As a key member of our Direct Purchasing Team, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process for our manufacturing facilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage Bill Of Material (BOM) coverage for our manufacturing facilities
- Initiate and implement replenishment programs for BOM items
- Develop strong relationships with cross-functional teams to ensure Supply Chain activities are aligned to support the business
- Monitor and analyze inventory levels to ensure that products are delivered on time and at the best value
- Manage and optimize inventory for the Organization's manufacturing sites
- Release purchase orders after validation of MRP recommendations
- Monitor the Requisitioning Systems and create purchase orders for Direct Items
- Work with Strategic Sourcing on sourcing activities and contract implementation
- Monitor and support on-time delivery of issued Purchase Orders
- Manage and monitor product complaints and resolution through Quality SCAR process
- Support the new product implementation process utilizing a Stage Gate process
- Preparation, Analysis, and maintenance of purchasing/inventory management reports
- Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Business, or related field
- At least 3 years of experience in Inventory Management, Purchasing or related business experience
- Well-developed supply chain experience with strengths in vendor management and strategic vision
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office tools
- Experience in PowerBI would be a strong asset
