We are a reputable company seeking an experienced truck and trailer mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the repair and maintenance of heavy vehicles.
Job Summary
As a Heavy Vehicle Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet of trucks and trailers. This involves performing routine maintenance tasks, diagnosing and repairing faults, and conducting thorough inspections to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on trucks and trailers, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
- Diagnose and repair faults with electrical systems, engines, transmissions, and other components.
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential issues and prevent accidents.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used.
Requirements
To be successful as a Heavy Vehicle Maintenance Specialist, you will need:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in truck and trailer repair and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of heavy vehicle mechanics, including electrical systems, engines, transmissions, and braking systems.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
