Senior Project Manager, Rail Signals and Communications

Deliver Complex Projects with Confidence
AECOM is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to lead our Canadian Signals and Communications team in delivering a portfolio of projects. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for managing project pursuits, preparing proposals, and establishing long-lasting relationships with clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead project pursuits and prepare proposals to secure new business.
- Participate in business development by establishing strong relationships with clients.
- Plan and manage each stage of a project to ensure timely completion and budget adherence.
- Identify necessary resources for project execution and develop project scope, deliverables, and work plans.
- Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and change management.
- Lead project controls staff and project coordinators.
- Maintain a good understanding of project scope to identify scope creep and initiate change management.
- Ensure timely internal and external communication throughout all project phases.
- Comply with AECOM's Quality Management System methodology.
- Participate in monthly project reviews and conduct progress meetings to exchange information and resolve issues.
- Ensure all project close-out documents are submitted upon completion.
- Act as a mentor to junior project management and controls professionals.
- Enroll and obtain the MAP (Managing AECOM Projects) Certification.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant engineering discipline + 6 years of relevant experience in project management in rail for signals OR Technical Diploma + 8 years of experience in project management in rail and/or signals.
- Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 8 years or more of relevant experience in public rail and transit.
- PMP certification.
- Strong technical knowledge and experience in various sub-disciplines.
- Proven experience managing multiple projects of various types and complexities.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and team skills.
