Job Summary

The Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) is seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented individuals to fill the position of Foreign Language Communications Analyst in its regional offices across Canada.

Key Responsibilities
  • Translate foreign language materials into French or English, assessing their relevance and importance.
  • Produce high-quality translations and draft reports based on the intelligence value of the materials.
  • Conduct research and analysis on various subjects, including social, economic, geopolitical, and ethno-cultural topics.
  • Provide advice to management on oral and written communications, identifying key information and insights.
  • Work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to achieve common goals.
  • Provide interpretation services in internal and external meetings and interviews related to investigations.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree from an accredited learning institution recognized in Canada.
  • Two (2) years of experience in research and analysis, report writing, and team collaboration.
  • Proficiency in one or more of the following languages: Arabic, Mandarin, Russian, Punjabi, Urdu, or Hindi.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to learn and apply new skills and knowledge in a fast-paced environment.
Security Clearance

Candidates must be eligible to receive an Enhanced Top Secret security clearance, which involves a security interview, polygraph, and background investigation.
