Overview

Lafarge, a leading construction company, is seeking a skilled Journeyperson Millwright to join our team in Richmond, BC. As a key member of our Marine Shop, you will be responsible for maintaining, improving, and optimizing our mechanical operations.

The Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Millwright to perform planned and breakdown maintenance on our production and service equipment. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Performing routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, including bilge pumps, motors, gears/drives, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems
  • Servicing and repairing gearboxes, clutches, pumps, and vibrating screens
  • Maintaining fixed belt conveyors and portable hydraulic conveyors
  • Servicing and repairing manual mooring winches and mooring lines
  • Maintaining accurate records of work completed, parts used, and costs
  • Ensuring a safe and efficient work environment

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Journeyperson status
  • Minimum two years of heavy manufacturing/mining/marine experience
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and evenings as required
