Job Title: Floor Covering Specialist

At Floors@Work, we are seeking a skilled Floor Covering Specialist to join our team. This is a permanent position that offers a competitive salary and benefits.

About the Job

We are looking for an individual who has experience in installing various types of floor coverings, including resilient and hardwood floors. As a Floor Covering Specialist, you will be responsible for inspecting and measuring surfaces, preparing and installing new floor coverings, and ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard.

The ideal candidate will have a secondary school graduation certificate and possess excellent physical capabilities, including bending, crouching, and kneeling. Experience in the trade is an asset, but not required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and measure surfaces to determine the type and amount of flooring materials needed
  • Prepare and install underlay and underpadding, as well as resilient and hardwood floors
  • Measure and cut flooring materials accurately to ensure a precise fit
  • Install flooring materials according to manufacturer's instructions and industry standards
  • Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings as needed
  • Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants to prepare surfaces for new installations
