About the Role

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Sechelt Hospital. As a LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary care team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate client care, providing support to clients and their families.
  • Work collaboratively with the Registered Nurse to care for clients with unpredictable outcomes.
  • Perform the full scope of practical nursing functions for clients with predictable outcomes.
  • Maintain and advance clinical competence pursuant to the standards of practice of BCCNM for Licensed Practical Nurses.

Sechelt Hospital is an acute care facility located in Sechelt, British Columbia, serving over 30,000 residents of the Lower Sunshine Coast. Our hospital provides a range of services, including Emergency care, Renal program-community dialysis units, Mental Health and Substance Use Services, surgical services, birthing for low-risk pregnancies, and imaging services.

Qualifications
  • Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Current practicing registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
