Tax Director

Targray is seeking an experienced Director of Corporate & International Taxation to join our team at our headquarters in Montreal, Quebec.
Job Summary:We are looking for a highly skilled tax professional to lead our corporate and international tax team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing our tax strategy, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations, and providing advice to senior management on tax matters.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement tax strategy to minimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations
- Lead the corporate and international tax team and manage third-party providers for tax compliance and advice
- Oversee and manage the process of import and export taxes, VAT, sales and other indirect taxes in various jurisdictions
- Provide advice to senior management on tax matters and ensure that tax implications are considered in business decisions
- Manage audits of international, federal, provincial, and state income tax
- Develop and maintain relationships with tax authorities and other stakeholders
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in corporate and international taxation
- Experience at a top 4 accounting firm is an asset
- Experience in commodities trading, supply chain management, logistics firm is highly preferred
- Experience in an international business and/or multinational corporation or firm is required
- Knowledge of Canadian and US tax rules is required
- Experience with Switzerland, India, and any other jurisdiction is an asset
