Food Service Attendant

We are seeking a reliable and efficient Food Counter Attendant to join our team at Avleen08 Ontario Inc. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and ensuring a clean and safe dining environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Customer Service: Serve customers at counters or buffet tables, take orders, and provide a positive dining experience.
- Food Preparation: Prepare and package take-out food, portion and wrap foods, and wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit.
- Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
- Inventory Management: Keep records of food quantities used and restock refrigerators and salad bars as needed.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: Will train.
- Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, reliability, team player, and ability to multitask.
- Support for Persons with Disabilities: Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities.
- Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Recruits newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster and supports them with foreign credential recognition and mentorship programs.
- Support for Veterans: Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for Veterans and offers workshops, counselling services, or other resources to help Veterans navigate their transition into the civilian workforce.
- Support for Indigenous People: Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
- Support for Mature Workers: Applies hiring policies that discourage age discrimination and provides staff with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers.
- Support for Visible Minorities: Applies hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities and provides diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.
