Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

BLAIRCO TRANSPORTATION INC is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transportation: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials across the country.
  • Logistics: Plan and coordinate routes, schedules, and cargo to ensure efficient and timely delivery.
  • Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns, and provide excellent customer service to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment, and perform preventive maintenance to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, and ensure all necessary documentation is completed and submitted on time.
Requirements:
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks), Air Brakes Endorsement, and a valid driver's license.
  • Communication Systems: Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment, and use a trip recorder (on-board computer).
  • Transportation/Travel Experience: International, local, long-haul, national, provincial/territorial, regional, and short-haul experience.
  • Security and Safety: Basic security clearance, and a valid driver's license.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, handling heavy loads, large workload, overtime required, attention to detail, and repetitive tasks.
