Your Opportunity

Our Edmonton office is seeking a Senior Associate, M&A and Capital Markets to join our Advisory team and take on the following responsibilities:

  • Support business development initiatives, including pitches and proposals;
  • Prepare financial models, including LBO models and preliminary company valuations;
  • Perform in-depth financial analyses on companies, analyzing earnings and cash flows, operating working capital requirements, and key drivers of financial performance;
  • Identify potential acquisition targets, buyers, and investors, and conduct market, industry, and company research;
  • Communicate directly with transaction counterparties, including clients, targets, buyers, other advisors, and lenders;
  • Assist in preparing professional transaction documents, such as teasers and confidential information memorandums.

Your Experience and Education

We're looking for candidates with:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, with a CPA, CFA, or CBV designation;
  • 3-4 years of experience in audit, valuation, corporate finance, or M&A advisory;
  • Motivation, attention to detail, autonomy, and ability to work under pressure;
  • Above-average proficiency in Microsoft Office applications;
  • Strong business acumen, analytical skills, and attention to detail;
  • Willingsness to work outside normal business hours and travel internationally as required.

Compensation

Salary: $67,000 - $101,000/year
