About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our Mechatronics Division at Magna International Inc. This is a key role that will be responsible for providing financial leadership and support to the engineering division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Accounts Payable activities, including reconciliations, auditing transactions, preparing purchase orders, cash receipts, payments, and reporting.
  • Perform Accounts Receivable activities, including invoicing, and reconciliations.
  • Perform General Ledger activities, including journal entries, banking, foreign exchange, government reporting, fixed assets, HST filing, weekly cash flow projections, balancing inter-company accounts, month-end and year-end closing of books.
  • Prepare management reports for internal audits, transfer pricing, and SR&ED.
  • Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Audit and process expense reports in Concur.
  • Prepare manual cheques and wire transfers.
  • Maintain cheque stock and chart of accounts.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary diploma in Accounting or Business.
  • Minimum of five years related experience.
  • Related manufacturing/automotive experience.
  • Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes).
  • Experience working with SAP preferred.
