The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for operating in the area of procurement and interfacing with various project disciplines in the course of the procurement processes, including the initial phase of need definition, the request for quotation phase, and the subcontract and change orders preparation.
Key Responsibilities- Operate within established procurement policies, procedures, and systems developed for the OLS Project.
- Prepare the commercial part of tender documents for procurement of subcontractors/work packages, including terms and conditions of contract and price schedules.
- Receive and coordinate with the technical lead regarding the technical part of the tender documents for procurement of subcontractors/suppliers, including scope of works and schedules.
- Receive and assess subcontractors' quotes with technical lead.
- Assist with Ethics and Compliance due diligences as required.
- Prepare comparative charts, executive summaries, and recommendations to award.
- Participate in kick-off meetings with subcontractors.
- Participate in the hand-over of executed agreements to the subcontract management team.
- Keep the department SharePoint and logs updated with corresponding procurement documents.
- Use Project procurement tools (Building Connected, ASite, Dalux, bespoke Excel trackers, etc.).
- Participate in commercial negotiations with awarded subcontractors and vendors.
- Review prices against approved budgets before award.
- Participate in the negotiation of contracts, including terms and conditions, with the support of the legal team.
- Ensure that Environmental requirements of the Project are part of the Agreement through dedicated contract exhibits. Assess bids against environmental criteria when applicable.
- Fluent in English.
- Organized and rigorous.
- Strong interest in the construction industry.
- Ability to communicate efficiently.
