Accounts Receivable Clerk Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented and bilingual Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our finance team in Brampton. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining healthy relationships with customers, particularly in Quebec, where fluency in French and English is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers in Quebec, managing both verbal and written communications in French and English.
  • Work closely with the Quebec-based customer service team and the Controller to address and resolve customer account issues.
  • Execute collection efforts for overdue accounts in Quebec, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Release customer orders after performing credit analysis and other necessary verifications.
  • Assist in processing daily cheque and EFT deposits and maintain accurate AR records.
  • Support AR team with processing credit card payments, generating credit invoices, and preparing refund cheques as needed.
  • Assist with month-end responsibilities, working closely with the Controller, CFO, and external auditors.
  • Assist in posting cash receipts into the ERP system and reconciling accounts as needed.
  • Work with the finance team during year-end audits and liaise with external auditors.
  • Provide support in various ad-hoc accounting and administrative tasks.
Requirements:
  • Fully bilingual in French and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Previous experience in accounts receivable and collections is preferred.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a customer-focused approach.
  • High attention to detail, with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficient in data entry and comfortable using Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
  • Team player with a proactive attitude towards resolving customer issues.
