About the Role:
  • We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Artist to elevate the quality of our games, focusing on optimizing and refining the technical aspects of our games and applications.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Pipeline Development: Develop efficient art pipelines ensuring seamless integration of 2D assets from creation to implementation in the game engine.
  2. Optimization of 2D Assets: Ensure textures, sprites, animations, and UI elements are optimized for performance and memory usage on mobile devices.
  3. Particle Systems: Implement and optimize particle effects for 2D games.
  4. Performance Profiling: Analyze and optimize the game's performance using profiling tools, focusing on reducing frame drops, load times, and battery consumption.
  5. Cross-Platform Optimization: Ensure the game runs efficiently on a wide range of mobile devices with different hardware configurations.
  6. Asset Compression and Management: Compress textures and assets to reduce game size while maintaining visual fidelity and manage texture atlases.
  7. Technical Problem Solving: Address and solve technical challenges related to 2D graphics, animation, and asset integration.
  8. Tool Creation: Develop tools and processes that streamline the creation and optimization of 2D assets.
  9. Collaboration: Work closely with both the art and development teams to promote innovation and refine the visual quality of our games.
Requirements:
  • Experience as a Technical Artist in the gaming industry with expertise in mobile platforms and Unity.
  • Proficiency in Unity with a deep understanding of rendering pipelines, performance optimization, and tool development.
  • Experience addressing mobile performance constraints including memory, GPU/CPU limitations, and texture management.
  • Strong scripting skills (C#, Python, etc.) for tool development and automation.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams solving complex technical challenges.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • A keen understanding of designing for young audiences including accessibility considerations.

We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for growth and development.
