We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Artist to elevate the quality of our games, focusing on optimizing and refining technical aspects. This role will play a critical part in modernizing the player experience by improving asset workflows, developing efficient tools, and ensuring seamless app performance across mobile devices.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Pipeline Development: Develop and maintain efficient art pipelines, ensuring seamless integration of 2D assets from creation to implementation in the game engine.
  • Optimization of 2D Assets: Ensure textures, sprites, animations, and UI elements are optimized for performance and memory usage on mobile devices.
  • Particle Systems: Implement and optimize particle effects for 2D games.
  • Performance Profiling: Use mobile profiling tools (e.g., Unity Profiler, Xcode, Android GPU Profiler) to analyze and optimize the game's performance, focusing on reducing frame drops, load times, and battery consumption.
  • Cross-Platform Optimization: Ensure the game runs efficiently on a wide range of mobile devices with different hardware configurations.
  • Asset Compression and Management: Compress textures and assets to reduce game size while maintaining visual fidelity and manage texture atlases to optimize draw calls.
  • Technical Problem Solving: Address and solve technical challenges related to 2D graphics, animation, and asset integration in the mobile game engine.
  • Tool Creation: Develop tools and processes that streamline the creation and optimization of 2D assets, allowing artists to work more efficiently.
Requirements:
  • Experience as a Technical Artist in the gaming industry, with strong expertise in mobile platforms and Unity, having knowledge across Unity animation tools.
  • Proficiency in Unity, with a deep understanding of rendering pipelines, performance optimization, and tool development.
  • Experience addressing mobile performance constraints, including memory, GPU/CPU limitations, and texture management.
  • Strong scripting skills for tool development and automation.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams, solving complex technical challenges while maintaining creative vision.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience in co-development and outsourced work.
  • A keen understanding of designing for young audiences, including considerations for accessibility, visual clarity, and motor skill development.

We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience, along with a benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
