Electrical Lead Engineer Opportunity

Equinox Engineering Ltd., a leading EPC firm in Calgary, Alberta, is seeking an experienced Electrical Lead Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our electrical engineering group, you will be responsible for leading electrical design and engineering activities for various oil and gas projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead electrical design and engineering activities for projects, including preparation of electrical documentation, area classifications, and load lists.
  • Develop and evaluate electrical equipment and construction specifications.
  • Perform engineering for procurement activities, including MRQ/MRP development, technical evaluation, and vendor drawing approvals.
  • Provide electrical input for DBM, detailed scope of work, and PEP, coordinating with all concerned disciplines.
  • Prepare engineering man-hour estimates and provide input into project schedules.
Requirements:
  • P. Eng. – Electrical Engineering Degree.
  • 8 – 12 years oil and gas experience with EPCM background, including supervisory skills.
  • Experience in oil and gas facility projects, including heavy oil facilities, well tie-ins, pipelines, compressor stations, and field gas processing facilities.
  • Experience with various electrical codes and standards (i.e., CSA, IEEE, API).
