Diagnostic Instrumentation Specialist

This is a key role within our Diagnostic Support team in Toronto, Canada. As a Diagnostic Instrumentation Specialist, you will be responsible for providing expert-level support to customers across the region.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of diagnostic instrumentation at customer sites;
- Manage individual car stock of spare parts and acquire spare parts as required to ensure timely completion of installations and repairs;
- Offer IT (hardware and software) first-line support to customers, including hardware and software troubleshooting and resolution;
- Collaborate with Technical Support Specialists (TSS), Technical Support Representatives (TSR), and other stakeholders to resolve complex technical issues;
- Participate in service meetings and contribute to discussions on improving support for Roche Diagnostics Canada customers;
- Perform instrumentation QC in head office and prepare instrument shipments as per Service Coordination requests;
- Perform preventative maintenance for assigned customers according to established guidelines;
- Complete technical service bulletins on assigned customers in a timely manner, adhering to Roche Diagnostics Canada's guidelines and timelines;
- Prepare and submit Service Report Orders (SO);
- Complete other administrative tasks, such as expense management, timesheet submission, training planning, and technical reading;
- Conduct site inspections and complete all necessary documentation;
- Provide recommendations for preparing adequate environments for Roche instrument installations;
- Install Roche instrumentation at customer sites, adhering to Roche Diagnostics Canada's guidelines;
- Attend training sessions on appointed Roche instrumentation;
- Diploma of Collegial Studies in Electronic Technology or Community College Specialty in Biomedical Engineering;
- Knowledge of instrument computers, laptops, and personal computers, including Windows and common Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
- 2-3 years of experience in diagnostics instrumentation troubleshooting (a plus);
- Must be available to work on standby and flexible to travel;
- Minimum knowledge of IT systems and network infrastructure;
- Bachelor's degree (a plus).
