Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a Laundry Attendant to join our team in the Eastern Zone. This full-time position offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

About the Opportunity
  • As a Laundry Attendant, you will be responsible for providing a supply of clean, sanitary linen for various hospital departments.
  • You will collect soiled linen from various hospital departments and maintain the linen rooms in a clean, sanitary, safe and orderly manner in accordance with established procedures.
  • Additionally, you will wash, dry, fold, sort, and label personal resident clothing.

This is a long-assignment position with 75 hours bi-weekly and an approximate duration of 12 months.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • We require Grade 12/GED or equivalent work experience.
  • A knowledge of Infection Control procedures is also necessary.
  • Competencies in other languages, such as French, are an asset.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $20.16-$21.69 per hour, plus a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
