Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at GoGrill. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of food and service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish efficient methods to meet work schedules and ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Train and develop staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
  • Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform business decisions.
  • Prepare food order summaries for the chef to ensure timely and accurate food preparation.

Support for Newcomers and Refugees:

  • Participate in government or community programs that support the integration of newcomers and refugees into our community.
  • Assist with immediate settlement needs, such as housing, transportation, and storage.
  • Support social and labor market integration through access to community resources, language training, and skills training.
  • Recruit and support newcomers and refugees who have been displaced by conflict or natural disaster.
  • Provide mentorship programs that pair newcomers and refugees with experienced employees.
  • Offer diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment.

Support for Youth:

  • Participate in government or community programs that support youth employment.
  • Offer on-the-job training tailored to youth and provide mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities.
  • Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.

Support for Indigenous People:

  • Participate in government or community programs that support Indigenous people.
  • Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for Indigenous workers.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities, businesses, and organizations.
  • Provide cultural competency training and awareness training to create a welcoming work environment.
  • Facilitate access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers.

Support for Visible Minorities:

  • Participate in government or community programs that support members of visible minorities.
  • Apply hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities.
  • Offer mentorship programs that pair members of visible minorities with experienced employees.
  • Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment.
