Retail Store Supervisor

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at Ontario Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the sales floor, managing inventory, and supervising a team of grocery clerks and shelf stockers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assign sales workers to duties and ensure the sales floor is adequately staffed.
  • Order merchandise and maintain inventory levels to meet customer demand.
  • Authorize the return of merchandise and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Establish work schedules and ensure the sales floor is open during regular business hours.
  • Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of workers, including grocery clerks and shelf stockers.
  • Manage cash and prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to employees.

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a retail environment.
  • Permanent employment with 30 hours per week.
  • English as the primary language of work.
