We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical Float team at Northumberland Hills Hospital. As a Medical Float Nurse, you will provide professional nursing care to patients in various in-patient units, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment, promoting a culture of respect, compassion, and teamwork.
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Competency in performing added nursing skills as required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple demands.
- Strong decision-making and prioritization skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to lift, pull, push, carry, reach, and support patients as needed.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods and perform repetitive bending.
- Previous experience in a medical/surgical unit.
- Ability to work in a scent-free environment.
