About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Island Recruiting. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of goods and materials within our supply chain.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule Distribution of Goods: Plan and coordinate the transportation of goods from suppliers to our warehouse, ensuring timely delivery and efficient use of resources.
  • Manage Inventory: Monitor and maintain accurate records of inventory levels, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to optimize stock levels.
  • Prepare Shipping Documents: Create and process shipping documents, including bills of lading, invoices, and other necessary paperwork.
  • Inspect and Verify Goods: Conduct regular inspections of incoming goods to ensure they meet quality and quantity standards.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory, shipments, and other relevant data.
  • Communication: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including purchasing, sales, and operations teams, to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year
  • Language: English
  • Work Environment: Urban area, willing to relocate, supermarket/grocery store
  • Physical Demands: Standing for extended periods, handling heavy loads, bending, crouching, kneeling
  • Equipment and Machinery: Dollies and hand trucks, industrial lift trucks and fork-lifts, loader, scanner
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working at Heights Training: Certification in working at heights
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: Proficiency in spreadsheet software, MS Excel, MS Word
  • Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver's license
