Job Title: Logistics Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Island Recruiting. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for coordinating the distribution of goods, scheduling transportation conveyances, and preparing shipping documents.

Work Setting

This is a permanent position in an urban area, with the possibility of relocation. You will be working in a supermarket/grocery store environment, interacting with customers and colleagues in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule distribution of goods and coordinate transportation conveyances
  • Prepare bills of lading, invoices, and other shipping documents
  • Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents
  • Maintain internal record-keeping system
  • Record shortages and reject damaged goods
  • Pack goods to be shipped and unpack goods received
  • Pay and receive payments for goods
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Working at heights training
  • Spreadsheet and MS Excel skills
  • MS Word skills
  • Dollies and hand trucks experience
  • Industrial lift trucks and fork-lifts experience
  • Loader experience
  • Scanner experience
