Senior Cost Estimator Job Description

TRS Staffing Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cost Estimator to join their team in Calgary, AB. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing technical mechanical/piping knowledge and services to support existing customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze project proposals to prepare cost and budget estimates.
  • Work alongside internal team to drive innovation in design for successful implementation of cost estimating solutions.
  • Execute bid strategy and attend bid meetings for mechanical projects.
  • Represent the company at industry events and secure new business opportunities.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in capital cost estimating.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management or equivalent industry experience.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with a background in the Oil & Gas industry, specifically within the Mechanical and Piping disciplines.
  • Knowledge of cost capital cost estimating software ie. Ircarus, Cleopatra, Primivera.
  • Experience in sales/business development.
