Civil Design Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Design Engineer to join our team at TalentSphere Staffing Solutions. As a Civil Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing civil engineering projects, including earthworks, site remediation, and solid waste management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop civil engineering projects, including earthworks, site remediation, and solid waste management.
  • Work closely with business leads and managers to deliver multi-discipline projects.
  • Coordinate all aspects of civil design, including budgeting and scheduling.
  • Develop or verify the technical scope of a project.
  • Participate in design coordination meetings and address critical issues.
  • Ensure client requirements, specifications, and standards are integrated into the project.
  • Ensure quality control processes are followed.
  • Mentor and develop junior staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of technical design experience, 10 years of experience in civil construction.
  • Demonstrable experience in civil design delivery for larger, multi-discipline projects.
  • Experience working in a design-build environment is considered an asset.
  • Exceptional communication skills and industry exposure.
  • Demonstrated understanding and proficiency in bid take-off software.
  • Demonstrated understanding of bid/tender requirements.
  • Risk identification and mitigation.
