Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our Department of Earth Sciences as a probationary tenure-track Assistant Professor in Structural Geology. The successful candidate will have a strong background in the application of structural geology or tectonics to mineral systems and be ready to establish an internationally recognized research program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Structural Geology and Mineral Deposits.
  • Contribute to Field Mapping courses and engage students from Indigenous and other marginalized groups in the Geosciences.
  • Develop and lead cutting-edge research projects in collaboration with industry and public sector partners.

Requirements:

  • PhD in Earth Sciences with a focus on structural geology or tectonics.
  • Demonstrated excellence in research and potential for teaching innovation.
  • Able to attract external funding to support research and student activities.
