Job Summary:

The Sanitation Specialist is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment at our production facilities. This includes cleaning all aspects of the store premises, including garbage removal, exterior maintenance, and operation of the garbage compactor. The ideal candidate will have previous commercial cleaning experience and be able to work well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain personal hygiene and workplace cleanliness
- Complete daily assigned cleaning checklist activities
- Communicate any questions, concerns or suggestions promptly to the Sanitation Lead Hand or Plant Manager

Working Conditions:

- Requirement to stand, etc. for long periods of time, in extreme cold, hot and wet conditions

Requirements:

- Fluent oral and written English
- Previous commercial cleaning experience an asset
- Capable of lifting up to 19KG
- Able to stand for extended periods and perform a variety of activities which may include lifting, bending, stretching, squatting, pulling; exposure to heat or cold, blast freezer and wet conditions
- Knowledge of Health & Safety, WHMIS, GMP, and HACCP procedures
